«Jarykhh» Ltd is a private company which was founded in 1991 for the expansion of the 1st Kazakh satellite telecasting system «Jarykh». ‘Jarykh" Ltd rendered a practical assistance for commercial tele-radio companies such as «Tan», «Totem», «KTK», «31 Channel» in launching for operation the television and radio transmitters. Company ‘Jarykh" jointly with Kazakhstan and foreign partners (American International Telcell nc., English «Protocol ventures», Metromedia International Telecommunications Inc.(USA), Postprivatization Fund EBRR, Indonesian company «Indosat» and Tietamascomexindo), took part in creation of the range of enterprises: «31 KANAL» TRC (tele-radio company), Alma-TV, Alma-Page, Spectrum, Instaphon, Inkatel, Asibo. Collaboration in joint ventures allowed us to get a great experience in such areas as satellite and on-air tele-radiocasting, cable and on-air television, satellite communication, paging and trunk communications, the systems of wireless subscriber’s radio access.
«Jarykh» company has organized multiprogramming satellite and digital broadcasting in European standard DVB-S/MPEG-2 of three TV and two radio programmes. In July 2007 there was installed an equipment of DVB-S2/MPEG-4 standard, which allows not only noticeably to economize satellite capacity, but also to be ready for an organization of the high definition telebroadcasting (HDTV). Since 1993 «Jarykh» Ltd executes functions of International Clearance and Leading Organization in «Inmarsat» system, registered in ITU under rated code KZ-01, and is responsible plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan in International Marine Organization of the Satellite Communication INMARSAT.
At present time «Jarykh» Ltd is an owner of two enterprises: «Inkatel» Ltd (100% market share), which has a state license for providing with telecommunication services by dedicated communications network (term less). «Argus-Contact» (50% market share), which has two state licenses- for occupation of such activities as mounting, setting up and servicing of the means of burglar alarms and for providing with telematics services.
«Jarykh» Ltd is working on the project «Integrated Digital Network in the Central Asia and in the Middle East» during several years.
Now there are being realized four project directions of «Integrated Digital Network»- digital distribution of the cinema, distance education, marine satellite telecommunications system and digital tele-radio broadcasting:
– Under financial support of «National Innovative Fund» JSC the first stage of the programme by development of the first electronic cinema net «Nurl@n» in CIS was realized, 137 cinemas were installed, broadcasting studio was set up.
– For their own account distance interactive system of education DISO.KZ is being expanded. Central satellite station SkyEdge of Jewish firm Gilat was bought for the organization of HSC net. The system is ready for providing with distance education services and organization of teleeducation.
– Multi programmed satellite digital broadcasting in the European standard DVB-S/MPEG-2 of three TV programmes and two radio programmes was organized. In July 2007 the equipment of DVB-S2/MPEg-4 standard was installed which permits not only to economize satellite capacity, but also to be ready for the organization of HDTV broadcasting.
– Connection of the central satellite station «Jarykh» Ltd with fiber optic link of the large TV cable operators – «Alma-TV», «ICON» and «Digital TV», and also for the net of «Kazakhtelecom» was organized, which with taking into account technical potentialities of the satellite teleport permits to create Kazakh central unit of the content provider;
– At present time as a result of sudden extension of marine operation volume on Caspian Sea, the amount of orders for marine Inmarsat terminals supply has increased. Because of this matter the foundation of a broadband marine satellite communications system on the basis of VSAT-technology of central controlling station SkyEdge loading, is getting economically attractive.
